WELCOME TO DIANE'S AWARDS PAGE
I would like to celebrate with you and share some of the awards that I have received. God has blessed me tremendously and I thank Him for all that I can do - serving my Country and all Americans in the field of health and fitness!
CHAIR OF 30TH ANNUAL NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR HEALTH AND FITNESS CONFERENCE WITH THE CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR'S COUNCIL ON PHYSICAL FITNESS AND SPORTS
Jake Steinfeld (Body by Jake) and Chair of the Council, Kenny Rogers, Executive Director of the Council, and Ben Schaffer, NJ Chair & Gold Star Host presented me with a beautiful STAR Award. Then Jake and Kenny presented me with the official California Governor's Council Jacket, a gift from Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Jake and Kenny then named me an Honorary Member of the CA Governor's Council.
Kenny and I also celebrated our birthdays. It was the best birthday for me!
I didn't take my jacket off all night (and that was real OC fashion over my fancy dress and high heels)! Jay Daniels, friend and committee member, gave me a beautiful hand-made "Icthus" pen made out of Bethlehem Olivewood. I presented Jay and Kenny Rogers with the 2007 Member of the Year Award.
DIANE IS RECOGNIZED AS NATIONAL LEADER BY THE PRESIDENT'S COUNCIL ON PHYSICAL FITNESS AND SPORTS
Melissa Johnson, Executive Director of the President's Council, awarded me with a beautiful gift from the President's Council. She congratulated me for all of my hard work and as a leader serving our Country for heatlh and fitness. It was quite a surprise! Again, that was another birthday present I would have never expected.
DIANE SABBA - ORANGE COUNTY WOMAN NOMINATED FOR MINERVA AWARD IN 2004
Some of my best friends nominated me for the prestigious Minerva Award, that was created by Maria Shriver, First Lady of California. The Orange County Register published Keith Hall's nomination, which was spectacular.
Keith also wrote a wonderful article about me involving Minerva and the NAHF and CA Governor's Conference in April 2007. As serious as the content was, his humor was imbedded to produce a whole comical and realistic view of the sequence of events that led up to his nickname for me, "Minerva". His article was published in the Orange County Oracle and can be found on the Mensa Website. Keith Hall, Jr. is a renowned author, writer and lecturer.
